Did you know there are different varieties of pumpkins? Sugar pumpkins are the cantaloupe sized fruits you can use for recipes - we use the as floral containers. This particular pumpkin is actually a squash, known colloqually as the "Cinderella Pumpkin" because of its flattish shape, like the pumpkin her fairy godmother turned into her carriage. Pale orange, blonde, green or speckled, they all make amazing floral vessels. These were used as centerpieces with an assortment of autumn blooms - sunflowers, leaves, mums, roses and wheat. Yum!
